Hello! My name is Camilla and I’m the one with the Cravings! Thank you for visiting my site, where I share my family’s favorite recipes, a plethora of tips for living a good life, and the chronicles from our travel & hiking adventures!
Originally from Sweden, I came to the US right after graduating high school to be an AuPair in Aspen, Colorado. The Colorado Rocky Mountains have been my home ever since, a home I share with my all so fabulous daughter, Miss G., and our pound rescued pup “Daisy Dog”.
Welcome to the story of us, it is my hope and goal to inspire you to partake in the pursuit of Good Food, Good Tips and Good Times as well!
A little more random trivia about me:
I have an ongoing love affair with the outdoors.
I like to document all of the above with one of my favorite toys; a Canon camera.
When I was 9 I wrote and published my own magazine. There were four people interviewed in the paper, and those are the same four people that I sold the magazine to for $1 each – all four of my grandparents. I also included recipes said grandparents gave me – and sold those right back to them.

More on Miss G.(Oh where to start with this little nugget o’ Love…?!)
She has one of the kindest hearts I’ve ever seen.
She loves YouTube and knows all the cool hip new “stuff”.
She once organized a fundraiser at her school all on her own to raise money for kids with dyslexia. Her and her friends raised $75 all on their own at the age of 9. A little activist at heart I wonder? Actually I don’t wonder… I know she is!
She has an intolerance to milk products.
She is a lover of dogs and little piglets (we will never have one of the latter as a pet in our town home no matter how hard the tween tries)
More on Daisy:
The only way to introduce Daisy, is to first mention our previous dog Megan. Megan was with us for no less than 14 years, and doing that math you will know that Miss G. felt like Megan was her very own “Nana” and when Megan went to doggy heaven Miss G. was devastated not only to not have her best bud around, but there was no longer a dog in the house. Me being of the grown up kind ~ I was not wanting to jump right back in I said No more dogs for us. Oh how I underestimated the power of a little kiddo who really really really wants something. And the forces at play that was to lead Daisy to us. Finally the Mother Unit gave in and said “OK, let’s just start looking at some pound website. I looked, I saw her, and by 8pm that evening we had a new family member.
Daisy loves to run in the mountains more than anything and is the best little hiking buddy a girl could ever ask for!
